I saw the site for the New Moon hair clippings. For me, the astrological part I don't do because of my ways. I just know that the moon does have some affect on us phyiologically. I did it myself and it worked. Itry to cut on the first New Moon night, if I don't do it that night, sometime within the next 3 days.
I did see some growth with it. (It was winter too.)

Here are the New Moon dates for 2003 and 2004 Print it up, put dates on your calendars.

Miss Hada

I just heard from a friend of mine that this DOES work. It can't hurt to try!! /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Thanks alot Hada. I had decided that I was going to clip me and my daughter's hair on the new moon to see the effects. I did this month, but I was having a hard time finding the dates. This helps alot.

I was just wondering, has anyone been consistant in trimming according to the moon phases? If so, how has it been going for you?

I'm interested because I'm thinking about trying to incorporate this on my next trim. Hey why not? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've never heard of this before /images/graemlins/look.gif Can somebody give me more details on what this is all about? Sounds like some kind of superstition. Where did this idea come from? Sounds like an ancient ritual or something /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hi ladies! I'm a newbie coming out of lurking. I love this board /images/graemlins/smile.gif

honeycomb,

the idea comes from the fact that some believe that when the moon is new/ and or growing in size (becoming full, or "waxing"), that this is the time to start new things, because the outcome will be fruitful (i.e- cutting your hair will prduce faster growth) etc, because our bodies supposedly wax and wane like the moon, especially women, since we have monthly cycles. When the moon is decreasing in size, ("waning", like after the moon is full), things slow down, and this is the time to end things, slow things down etc., which some believe could result in slower hair re-growth.

I hope this makes sense! Maybe someone else could explain it in more everyday terms /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi adf23,

Welcome to the board /images/graemlins/smile.gif, and thanks for the explanation. /images/graemlins/wave.gif
