Self-taught Flat Twisters & Corn-rowers (French braiders), links please???

I am trying to learn to flat twist my hair, and eventually french braid/ corn-row it. Any youtube tutorials or other links that you can suggest that you think are especially good are much appreciated! Please don't let your fellow LHCF be b/c I can't get it! Help a sista out!

For some reason, I can cornrow just fine when I'm doing big cornrows but smaller sections of hair just don't go well for me.

This video taught me too! I spent my whole life wishing I could cornrow n then watched this I was like wtf...its that easy?

Are you practicing on yourself? Someone else? Mannequin? I was thinking about going to buy one of those lifesize barbie heads to practice. Is that strange?
