everytime i do a braidout it comes out extremely nice but by the end of the day it has turned hard and crunchy. what do you ladies use to keep your braidout moisturized and flexible? (besides, activator. *S* already tried that)

my braidout turns out best if i just take my ponytail down and finger comb. so i use the activator/gel mix all over and vaseline on just the ends. i wore it like that this past weekend. it looked pretty cute, but i didn't take a picture. maybe next weekend...

I believe in moisturizers, but I don't like greasy hair. So I use Elasta QP's Mango Butter (sometimes w/Coconut Oil and Nexxus Botanic Oil) & Phyto 9. Then for the extra attention my ends need, (b/c I love my sunroof and man is it drying!!!) I use a bit of Nexxus Humectress and they are buttery soft!!

You might have to get a spray bottle and put your favorite moisturizer in it, and spray your hair toward the part of the day that your hair gets dry. I'm in L.A. where it's always sunny so I keep my spray bottle in my car and spray during my lunch time.

ok, thanx alot ladies...
i thought of getting one of those evian water atomizers that models use to spritz their face. it's small and can fit in my purse...
anymore suggestions out there?

That stuff is great for the skin (I use it when I travel) but a little expensive if you are going to use it on a daily basis on your hair a little travel spray bottle with evian can do the same thing and if you add a drop of glycerin and essential oil that will help moisturize as well

This week I used avocado butter for my braid out. My hair doesn't feel dry and it definetly doesn't feel greasy like it did last week.

I use Pantene daily oil cream which provides alot of shine and then I use s curl to soften and moisture and I get a nice soft and moisturized braid out.

Thanks,

you are so right!!! i checked out the price in cvs and they want 9.00 for the small bottle. that's a little too rich for me; especially since i'll be using it everyday. i just thought that a regular spray bottle would leak in my purse... i'll keep looking. right now i'm using nexxus headdress, it's ok, but the effect is temporary.
