Any relaxed ladies use Aubrey Organics? What are your results?

Hi ladies,

I am considering getting the Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Conditioner. Any relaxed ladies out there using this? If so, what kind of results are you getting, and are there any other Aubrey Organics products you'd recommend? Thanks.

 Oh Yeah ! I love AO HSR, Although truthfully, I like the White Cameila much More. I also like the GPB Conditioning Treatment which is a combo of Protein & Moisture. I also like the Calaguala Fern Creamy Leave In Conditioning Treatment. I also use the Green Tea Clarifying Shampoo for when I need to Clarify. AO = Good Stuff.:yep:

And I recently ordered by haven't yet received the Algae Moisturizing Mask and the Rosa Mosqueta Conditioner that TKJ25 is always recommending.

I LURVES IT!!! :)

I like the white camellia conditioner, honeysuckle and rose and the gpb. I am actually going to the store today to get some more gpb. I find that the products work well and you don't need a lot of product. I see cumlative postitive effects when I use them.

Yes, I'm texlaxed and I use AO white Camellia & HSR for DC and I am very pleased w/ this brand. I have fine to medium strands and my hair need more moisture than protien. I can't wait to try the GPB for a light protien treatment. That will be my next AO purchase. HTH.

 Love that stuff!! I use Honey Suckle Rose and my new fave is GPB for Dcing. I love to add EVOO to both (to make them thinner, easier to spread). I'm itching to try the White Camelia conditioner!

Chile' You are gonna Luvre The White Cameila. And trust me, you are gonna like it more than the HSR! WC #1 as far as more Moisturizing. IMO it is the better of the two.

I have recently purchased the Rosa Mosqueta and the Algae Mosturizing Mask, but haven't received it yet.

Please let me know how you like the WC after you get it.:yep:

:ohwell: It was a miss for me. Both the Replenishing and the Honeysuckle Rose. I used it on freshly relaxed hair and while stretching and didnt see what all the fuss was about.

No slip, nothing extra moisturizing for me.

Love AO conditioners. I use HSR and GPB. I'm nearly 5 months post, texlaxed, with thick hair.

i'm not relaxed anymore:look:, but i couldn't resist. ao is too good :drunk::drunk::drunk: ... op, i hope you don't mind ... i love aubrey organics -- especially the rosa mosqueta, white camelia & gpb!:lick::lick::lick:

idaret hope the rosa works for you!

ok maybe i'll start to like it more then i've only used it twice smells great but wasn't too impressed
i want to try the white camelia because my hair is super dry!

I think my hair likes the products relaxed, natural or in now in my case BKTed. I plan to use it because it doesn't contain any ingredients that will cause my BKT to wear off faster than normal.

Honeysuckle rose didn't do anything for my hair neither as a natural or relaxed. Their protein GBP (?sp) is great. I only use the rinse. Most of the time I use my Giovanni Deep Moisture as a co-wash and then rinse with GBP.

I have also started using a tbsp of the GBP rinse to 3 TBSP Aloe Gel and 1 TBSP Kelp Bioferment mixed together. I keep a container of this in the fridge, and use a dime size on wet hair or more if I want a wet look.

I like it. And I like it with Heat as a DC. Either Heat-Cap or Steamer. It's all natural and doesn't contain Silicones or anything like that. So, if that's what your expecting (that Slippery Silicone/Plastic Feel) you are not going to get it. But if you are looking for Highly Moisturized Hair with All Natural Ingredients:yep:

AO GPB and Rosa Mosqueta (sp??) worked well in my hair. There is something about AO GPB that was borderline perfect. Though... if I left it on my scalp too long, it would itch for weeks. Note ... too long varied anywhere from 30minutes or if I left it on overnight. :nono: However, when I used it, the health of my hair was wonderful.

Calaguala Fern Creamy Leave In made my hair feel almost too thick. It has an odd smell, but in a good way

The Honey Suckle Rose conditioner made my hair really soft when I left it on for 30 min for deep conditioning. I can't wait to try the GPB.

I love the Honeysuckle Rose conditioner, but I've been hearing great things about White Camellia. White Camellia doesn't smell as good as HSR though. I will probably use White Camellia for DC'ing and HSR for leave-in :yep:.

Same here. I didn't dislike it, just didn't see what the big deal was.

i might start adding oil to make it easier to spread...
that stuff is a pain it's so thick
i break my arm getting it out of the bottle
:lachen:

My absolute favorite is the Island Naturals. The coconut milk just melts tangles. I also like HSR and GPB. HSR was a miss until I applied it prior to exercise. The fake steam made this a hit for me.

IA: Wholeheartedly. I think they all work better with Heat/Steam. They all feel wonderful with a Heat Source. I think it makes them perform better. I forgot I also have the Island Natural and the Aloe & Jojoba.:yep:

Hello.

I recently started using Aubrey Organics GPB Conditioner and I think that it will be my staple conditioner from now on. I can finally tolerate the smell after averting it for over 4 years. It definitely detangles my hair and makes it stronger. I use it once a week. I definitely recommend this product if you are relaxed or use heat once a week. After using this product, I want to try more natural products (I know Aubrey's isn't 100% natural, but it's a start).

I have also tried the Island Naturals Conditioner. It smells very spicy-- I can smell cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It also detangled my hair but I didn't buy it again due to "smell aversion."

The reason why I haven't purchased the other conditioners is because I am afraid of their fragrances. I hate the smell of roses (so I'm afraid of Honeysuckle rose) and I heard that the other ones are very "fragrant" too. I may buy samples or used bottles of the other conditioners before I buy it retail.

You know I like the white camellia but I really do love the honeysuckle rose better. I like the texture, thickness and moisture content of the HSR. The white camellia is a little lighter and still does a great job of easing detangling. I like them both though and they will both stay in my rotation for a long while to come.

I absolutely LOVE :love2: the HoneySuckleRose conditioner. Right now its my staple moisturizing DC. I was interested in the White Camelia conditioner, but when I went to view a description at the website, this is what I pulled up:

I was wondering which ingredients are the "protein-enriched" ones referred to at the top. I don't really need too much more protein in my regimen.

I just started using HSR, and the verdict is still out on whether or not it can stay in rotation...ive used it on dry hair w/ heat, and on damp, freshly shampooed hair, but I wasn't impressed. my hair still felt a little rough and dry. I really want to like this conditioner tho. Next time I might add some coconut or olive oil and see if that helps!

I just tried the HSR shampoo and conditioner last month.

-Shampoo was HORRIBLE. IIt is really slimy and thin and totally stripped my hair. I will only use as a clarifying shampoo and will never purchase again.

-Conditioner was WONDERFUL! Thick and creamy and left my hair soft. I recently added two tablespoons of coconut oil and sat under the steamer....and my hair felt like:love3:

I am going to try the White Camelia shampoo and conditioner next.

I think that was the opinion of a lot of posters. I hated it!
