I love my new hot air brush! (new straightened hair pics)

In the current thread about what we use to blowdry, I mentioned that I just bought a new hot air brush to help me straighten my hair. It's a Revlon Ion Select Ceramic hot air brush.

OMG I LOVE this thing. I spent all day yesterday doing my hair for my final straightening of the year. It's really the detangling part that takes forever, but once I got a section of hair completely detangled, the hot air brush just glided through my hair! I was a little apprehensive about using a brush with non-natural bristles but it worked great! It didn't snag at all! Woooo!

And using a hot air brush makes it so much easier to get the roots straight and reach the back and everything. I'm mad it took me so long to work up the nerve to finally buy one  I also believe the smoothing products I used helped reduce any friction. I used Phytodefrisant and Frizz Ease DownPlay Volume Reducer (kind of a light serum-y thing). They gave my hair good slip.

Anywho, I finished by flatironing this morning, and I did a good trim all around. You can find more details in the photo album here: Go to "End of Year Press & Trim" album.

And can I just say that this is the nicest and longest my hair has ever been and I love LHCF! :rosebud:

Absolutely gorgeous! And great tips on blowdrying. Now I know what I want for x-mas. How much was the air brush?

Oh, and just so you know--my hair is NOT thick. At all. Behold reason #1,872 why my natural hair is more fun than my relaxed hair: it looks about 5 times thicker than it is because of the volume

Great job!!! Your hair is really beautiful!

Did you blow dry on soaking wet hair? I noticed you applied the Phyto product & another product on soaking wet hair or did you air dry a little bit?
