I order 8 Purificatiom masks online B1G1 free at CVS. I go to the store believing it is stock based online availability for stores. Get to the store and stare at the empty shelf.

I pick up one during the cvs sale. There were two left but I have two unopened jars and a nearby full one already. My current stock of them will probably last me until the end of the year.
I just picked up the new product this weekend. Interestingly enough, the jar does say it has Kaolin Clay on it but it doesn't really look like it does.
I've tried it a couple of times this week. It is a lot thicker than the purification masque. I personally like a thinner consistency since it glides through my very thick hair better. As someone with eczema on my scalp I will say it did calm my scalp down quite a bit and it feels relatively clean. When I tried the purification masque a few months ago my scalp seemed to flare up more (I was also trying out quite a few other products at the time as well as under a lot of stress so I don't know for sure if the masque was the cause). I know the local beauty supply store has the original so I might pick some up sometime to do a better comparison.

"Soaking now" in Purification Hair Masque. On dry hair under plastic cap.
So I picked up the original purification hair masque and tried it...
The original is way better in my opinion. My scalp felt a lot cleaner. My curls felt way more moisturized and therefore had less frizz. I have a few patches that have a hard time curling up/retaining the curl but they do in the presence of clay. The original mask let those patches curl up easily. When I tried the new product those patches curled up only a little and quickly lost the pattern.
The dandruff control masque doesn't have the clay in it from what I can tell (or at the very least not in the same concentration as the original did), even though on the jar it said it did.

This a.m. - Applied Purification Hair Masque on dry hair under Saran Wrap/Plastic Cap for a couple hours.
It works best for me as a Pre-Rx/Detox.

So I decided to take advantage of that Sally's buy 2 get 1 sale and got a few more Purification Masques (not the first time I ordered this product from them). So first of all the shipping time was atrocious but even WORSE I opened my package today and they sent me 3 of that Dandruff Control Crap..
..I am so not happy
I can't wait to take this crap back to the closest store!!!! You know I called customer service and proceeded to give them an earful about product substitution without notice and false advertisement!!!!

I bought some recently during one of their B2 G1. Thankfully, they sent the right stuff.
What a Hassle.I was hoping we wouldn't have to worry about that.
Since I had ordered from them before I didn't even give it a second thought but I definitely needed to be
when I opened that box. Checking them off the list for the purification masque!!!

CRAP! Sally's was one of the few stores that still carried it! Welp, I really do have to find a substitute now...SM will regret the day that they messed with the Purification Mask.

I just discovered CVS still has the original Purification Masque. They stock it with dandruff treatments. I bought 2 last week.

I hope the have a bogo free soon.. because I'm tearing them up. Lol.

I ordered 2 masques and received them today. Initially, I was upset because I KNOW I ordered the purification masque, but was sent the dandruff control masque. Luckily I have *cough* several *cough* jars of the original formula so I compared and the ingredients are the same. When I get to my computer I'll try to upload pics. I don't know why we can't do mobile uploads smh
