@melahnee wait your hair was chocolate brown before? was that your natural color or was it lifted?
if so how did u achieve chocolate brown? my hair without fail goes red when lightened. it even fades to a reddish color from damage. all i want is chocolate brown

I was referring to the second (before the highlights) pic when I meant chocolate brown, but actually my hair has been chocolatier than that. My most natural-est hair is like the first pic attached. Not black, not that brown.
How chocolate exactly are you talking? I've had several different shades in my hair, but I kind of considered the OP to be pretty chocolatey imo. There were times I kept dying it more than once until I was finally happy with it (before lhcf of course :drunk:)
Last I got this dramatic with my hair and all these pics I'm posting are from when I was 17/18/19. I just look the same for the most part.

It looks sort of black in the OP but in these pics it looks reddish to me. I think lighter hair actually suits you better than darker. You're so pretty btw!

I want a chocolate brown with no red in it but idk if thats' possible on my hair and in the condition my hair is now I wouldn't dare try it.
My natural color is also between brown and black...

Thank you :love2: the last ones I posted were what I was considering to be a true chocolate brown! maybe my undertones are just red. I was so scared to go to this color and I'm so glad I did because I've been hearing it fits me better a lot, crazy!

My dad is the only one so far who does not like it. I went to their house yesterday and he said natural is always better but do what makes you happy. Lol, whatever dad

:lachen: I highlighted my hair back in 1994 ('90s style!) and my dad almost had a heart attack when he saw me; my mother was just worried my hair was going to be damaged. Its a father thing!

Your hair looks great - I love the color on you!

OP, blonde looks good on you!

I saw someone recommended the Mill Creek Jojoba conditioner and wanted to tell you that I found several of the Mill Creek conditioners at TJ Maxx for $5/bottle. You may want to swing by to see if you can find a bottle.

thank you two very much! I'll definitely go out of my way to grab some of the conditioners because I ordered the So silver Shampoo, and was planning on using my super sexy conditioner. I honestly like this color so much and would probably consider some low lights too if I get bored with it and it continues to grow out nicely.
