I, TriniStarr will be your new faclititar for 2009 LHCF Bootcamp 2009!

However, i would like for us to take this time to thank Brownsugarflyygirl for her all her wonderful help and encouragement for Bootcamp 2008. Thanks Brownsugarflyygirl for your hardwork. Great hair BTW!

Brownsugarflyygirl will post the closing results for LHCF Bootcamp 2009 on Dec 15.

LHCF Bootcamp 2009 will start JANUARY 1, 2009. However, I will post details, rules and requirments for this challenge on Dec 20, 2008. That way LHCF ladies can work on whatever products or items is needed for this challenge.

My Purpose is to get to my long term goal of APL
I am Neck Lenght -- not at shoulder yet!
I am Relaxed and have color
Goal for 2009 get the most growth I can in one year.
My Reggi is not consistant these days.
I use protein before and after relaxer
I am using Elasta QP Moisture every day
Roller setting every 4-6 days
Deep Condition every shampoo
I have slacked up on my vitamins -- will buy more
Will add two more growth aids


How did I do??? :ohwell: I need some hope, I have not posted any comments
since October, I wanted to show more growth before posting again.

-Touch-up (perm) every 8 weeks (Salon)
-Shampoo/Condition w/Optimum Oil Therapy around every 3 weeks
-Blow Dry and Flat Iron
-Wrap hair and put in ponytail

Cover at night with plastic baggie and silk scarf
Heat (Fat iron 4x a year!)





 
I would LOVE to participate in this challenge. And this would REALLY be a challenge considering how "unruly" I feel my hair can be when it isn't pressed.

The purpose of joining this challenge is to get my hair in better shape! A few inches in the process wouldn't hurt! :grin:

Almost at APL? I am not sure.

Learn how to take better care of my hair.
Possibly get to BSL, or almost MBL
Learn how to wear protective styling, so that I am not always damaging my hair.

I don't have one yet, I am a newbie, and currently trying to put one together!

I am a new to this forum and luv it already. I have been wearing sewn in weaves and braids for the past 19 months. My last relaxer was in April of 2007:rolleyes:

Honestly, I have not been caring for my hair as much I should have been this year. Although, I go to a salon for my weaves I can tell my hair is crying out for help. Dont get me wrong I have a lot of hair. Its also very thick and course as well,. So I would like to obtain a new hair regimine

Natural for about 19-20 months (weaves & braids)

4. What are your hair goals for 2009?


1) To find the most efficient process in acheiving hair growth with my particular hair type. I need to find out if I should keep getting sewn in weaves and braids or begin to texturize?

**I have not permed my hair because of scissor happy hair stylists, that cut off way 2 much hair** [/COLOR][/COLOR]

2. [B]I plan to learn the proper way to maintain a healthy head of hair and achieve length in the process. In addition, I would like to obtain strength and lustor.[/B] I will be taking my weave out next week; so will take pics of my natural hair and post them then.

I have not been washing my own hair since I wear weaves and braids. I go every two weeks to get my sewn in washed at the salon and a new weave monthly.:spinning:
It's definitely time for a change!

relaxed - now stretching for 10-12 weeks (my first stretch)

* to maintain a healthy, long, thick head of hair
* to grow bsl in 2009
* to stretch relaxers and decide whether or not to go all natural

5. What is your hair reggie?

(just starting out with this, so far, so good!)

*pre-poo with almond oil overnight
* wash once a week using abba pure moisture shampoo and conditioner
* use ntm deep recovery mask every other shampoo
* blowdry after wash (focusing on roots), may or may not flat iron
* moisturize daily with ntm silk touch leave-in, jc nourish and shine, may or may not seal with olive oil (i'm on the fence. doesn't this seal out future moisture??)
* wrap hair at night
* stretch relaxer 10-16 weeks (working my way up) and relax at salon using affirm
* no heat when styling - use caruso steam rollers for curls, will experiment with bantu knots and braids outs and always my trusty bun (although i wear my hair down mostly)

Right now i am NL

Currently, I am deep conditioning once a week with Nexxuss Humectress mixed with honey, aloe vera juice, and oils.
I Cowash once a week with Sauve Tropical Conditioner.
I shampoo biweekly (although I might switch to once a month because shampoo completely drys my hair out)
I am going to start wetting my ends every night and coating them with castor oil (i recently had to trim about an inch of hair because of damage. I live in upstate NY and the cold weather killed my growth).
I oil my scalp every other night with a mixture I made that is suppose to stimulate growth (jojoba oil, aloe vera juice, and horsetail herbs).

I'm texlaxed and toying with the idea of transitioning since I'm pregnant and planning to breastfeed in 2009.

Grow my hair beyond APL. Brastrap may be too lofty a goal. But we'll see how close I get.
5. What is your hair reggie?
Wash and Condition with Nourish Spa.
Apply my Wen knock off mixed with a bit of coconut oil.
Apply homemade shea butter blend
Pull hair into a bun.
 
Definitely count me in. This will keep me motivated the whole year.

1. What is your purpose for joining this challenge? I want to have healthy, thick tresses. I also want to be BSL, and either approaching or at MBL by December 2009.
2. What is your current hair lenght? 1/2 inch from BSL
3. Are you Natural or Relaxed? 5-6 inches Texlaxed and the rest is Bone Straight
4. What are your hair goals for 2009? Cowash 2 times a week, Deep condition with heat once a week, protein only when needed, wear buns 5 days a week, flat iron once every month or two, use up some of my products.
5. What is your hair reggie? Currently wash once a week with Giovanni Smooth as Silk Shampoo. Deep condition with Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner, Use Giovanni Direct Leave In, Apply my sulphur and MN mixture 2 times a week, Moisturize with Optimum Creme and seal with grapeseed oil nightly. Bun daily. Monthly exam on ends searching for those pesky splits.

I want to retain all the growth I have and receive, AND keep it healthy and beautiful.

I'm about 2" from APL.

Natural.

To appreciate and enjoy my hair.

~ I wear cornrows under wigs
~ I baggy at night during the cold months
~ I cowash 4-6 days each week
~ I deep condition weekly
~ I moisturize daily
~ I wear satin scarf under wig and at night. (I recently bought some silk fabric on Ebay, so I'll be using that too in 2009)

-moisturize with v05 strawberries and cream, seal with JBCO during winter and coconut oil when its not cold
-stretching relaxers for as long as i can stand it. I dont keep track really but I believe my last one was about 16 or 17 weeks.
-only indirect heat.
