Current Length TWA
2023 Goal - SL
Plan- Wash and goes
I plan to shampoo, condition, and style my hair every 3-5 days.
I will trim every 8-10 weeks
I will deep condition on an as needed basis
I may use a semi-permanent rinse a few times a year

I will celebrate by getting a nice hair accessory! I have major shrinkage, so the milestone won’t be too spectacular.

I’ve been looking for somewhere near me to get haircuts on blown out hair. I found a place that does a blowout + trim for $55 sculpted cuts for $65 and curl cuts for $75. I need to learn more about this place. If they do curly cuts I trust that their trims won’t destroy my shape.

I was looking through my old progress pictures and I’ve been trying to achieve SL curly hair for 3 years now. But I finally feel like I’m in a good starting place. I’ve been getting regular trims for a year and a half and all my baking soda damage is gone. Now I can just focus on growth.

@ckisland you hair is so long! I love it!!

I washed my hair for the first time since the 26th :look: I have no idea what happened. I never go that long without water on my head. And my hair was very unhappy.

I'm ready to get back to taking care of her. I know I did too much blow drying last year and I could see my ends on the floor. So, today is a fresh start.

I clarified with Elucence. I bought the K18 shampoo which I think is going to be a good all purpose shampoo. I shampooed once with that. I finished with the Madison Reed shampoo because my hair needed that moisture. I skipped condition because I am back to using the K18 leave-in. I'm going to use it for the next 6 weeks and get my hair back in shape.

I'm going to try to cowash mid-week to give my hair more moisture. We will see if that happens  I am so hair lazy.

I go for my next maintenance cut next month I think. I will just pamper my ends as much as possible and work on rehydrating my hair.

Post the following to join in

What length are you now?
Varying lengths; EL, NL, maybe some SL.

What is your goal for 2023 (SL or APL)?
Both. The places that aren't SL now is the goal, and the places that are SL, goal APL.

What's your plan/regime to reach your goal?
Just joined the Crown and Glory challenge, so that should help with the frequent manipulation.

How will you celebrate/reward yourself when you reach your goal?
Will decide when it happens.

Because the air is dry, I will cowash between shampooing to keep my hair hydrated. I cowashed Monday and put my hair in twist. I will shampoo and apply K18 this weekend and put it back into twists. My hair feels better already.

Pre-pooed/ co-washed my hair last night. Just added some cheapie conditioner to my dry hair and then rinsed it out in the shower. Did LOC and have 2 French braids under my wig.

Tonight is going to be a heavy cardio day so I might do it again tonight.

I shampooed and dc'd yesterday. Styled with Leave-in Condish and Honey Curls. I took my hair out of my scarf and it's dry!! Why does my hair feel dry already?! :angry2: I went ahead and clipped it up, and I'm not worrying about it until 3 or 4 days pass.

The gym was closed on Thursday so I haven't done anything to my hair since Wednesday. Tonight I'm going to clarify and DC because my hair is feeling very dry.

I was having such a hard time trying to take a picture of my hair. No one was home. I was scared to stretch it with heat. So, I took some really bad pics. I will definitely have better pics in April.
