I spent more than I intended this year on "Pomades" but there were some really good deals and I needed them *cough* :look: .

I'm sure I could locate a few if I dug - deep in my stash, which would have been just fine.:yep:

However, I did refuse to buy anything that had super high shipping costs tho.':twocents:

I bought some edge control. Kiss edge tamer smells delicious. This is my 3rd scent. I’ve done candy apple, peach and now I don’t remember the one I just got lol

I bought a hair steamer and a few naturellegrow conditioners, two of them are going to my sister who is also natural. I bought them on cyber monday so I didn't spend that much and my steamer was only $45.

I'm done for the rest of 2023. I'm doing another no-buy in 2024.

@IDareT'sHair

here's what happened:
I called the shop 30 min. prior to see if they could take down my last 6 locs. my fingers are still sore since it had taken me over 2 weeks to do the entire front of my head. so she then tells me it'd be $25 extra...cool.

so boom. I get to the shop and this stylist says oh I didn't know you meant like real dreadlocks I thought you meant you had two strand twists or braids. I said no I told you I had locs. She says everyone she knows who has combed out their locs has damaged hair and then she says I'm gonna have to cut all of my hair off because it's damaged which is a lie. My hair is not in bad condition. I already know I need a trim but Ole girl tried to play me which is not cool. I don't know why people even frequent her salon.

then she goes on and says that she can either take them down for me and just charge me for $25 per loc or I can take them down at home but I'd have to reschedule because she had a client coming at 2. My appointment was at noon.so long story short, she detangled what I had already taken out for free and I went home and did the rest.

she disrespected me and my hair and then had the nerve to try to charge me $175.
I put my bonnet on and left. I will never go back there. Smh I have the worst luck with salons.

What a turrible experience:barf:

I'm glad you didn't allow her to proceed:stop:

I'm glad you did not become a casualty.
I know. it was horrible. I've worked too hard on my hair to let someone ruin it.

smh I found another salon that does natural hair across town for $50 which is way less than I would've paid. Simple styles like braid outs, twist outs, flat twists ect.

found a natural hair specialist in my area. I set an appointment for Dec. 21st. I'll be getting a silk press with a steam treatment, trim and style.

She specializes in treating natural hair and getting it to a healthy state.

Hey y’all. I haven’t bought anything for my hair this month. I still haven’t used my Garnier shampoo and conditioner from last month. I may shampoo, dc and braid my hair over the holiday. I want some medium knotless braids.

My daughter just washed her hair last night so I could braid it today. Why she felt the need to wash it again this morning idk. She’s the reason I be running out of shampoo and conditioner.

No hair purchases this month but I bought some other things.

I'm hoping to get some good after Christmas sales on wigs. Only want 2-3, then I'll be set for 2024 and beyond.

The year is almost over! I had a chill day. I did a little couponing earlier. I got my Garnier and the cereal free. I only paid for the laundry stuff. Overall I saved $50 today at CVS. It was a good day. IMG_0261.jpeg

I'm definitely going to get back to my couponing in 2024. Not so I can have more stuff, but I need to save more money.
For sure. I get the things my family needs. I don’t do the excessive hoarding and clearing shelves. I coupon for my house and my boyfriend’s house. I’m obsessed though. I literally have to save money everywhere I go.
