October Hits or Misses

Hits: Jessicurl cream shampoo
Misses: The cheap Janet synthetic hair that I got to braid my hair with, It's only been 3 weeks and the hair is very frizzy.

I am 4a/4b. Me and nexxus for the most part don't agree.
I think NTM, Elasta Creme Conditioning, Softsheen Breakthru are all more conditioning that the Nexxus Therapy. Also I do lots of protein treatments. So I am not scurred of protein but my hair was snapping off when I rinsed out the Emergencee. That does not happen with Penetraitt, or Dudley's DRC for me. I already knew that I didn't like Humectress but I bought it because it went along with the Emergencee. I overprocessed sections with my last relaxer and so I tried the Emergencee because it worked for others in similar situations. Thank God I bought the small bottle. I will use it again but with a different poo and conditioner.

CBG, my hair hates Nexxus Humectress to for some reason. My hair always has a heavy feeling afterwards.

Hits:
1. Dove intensive moisturizing shampoo for color treated hair
2. Garnier Fructis deep fortifying conditioner.

3. Pro-Vitamin hair treatment capsules.

HUGE MISS:
Shea butter. When it dries or settles my hair clumps and it becomes impossible to detangle.

/images/graemlins/shocked.gif well.. different strokes for different folks i guess, my hair LOVES anything Nexxus.

send me all your nexxus products! /images/graemlins/weird.gif

HIT /images/graemlins/grin.gif
Shea butter. It defrizzed my ends and was great for my braidout.

NOTHING TO WRITE HOME TO MOM ABOUT /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
Suave Winter Snowfall Conditioner. Yeah, it has aloe vera and Vit E - so does alomst every other 99 cent Suave Conditioner. Its the smell that was disapointing. Good detangler though.

ANOTHER HIT

Bronner Bros. Oil Moisturizer (with Castor Oil and Aloe) - WHOA! Now this stuff is AWESOME! I used it after a conditioner wash last night and my natural hair is ridiculously soft and texture-defined. Plus it's only like $2.99 a bottle (can be even cheaper depending on where you buy it). A definite keeper. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Miss:
ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Pak. My hair sucked it all up 10 seconds after I applied it! It was like I didn't put anything on my hair at all! Thank goodness it only cost me $0.99. I loved the smell, though...

-CPR. oh my goodness TOOO. Im telling my hair was just soft and smooth..smooth. I shampooed, then did CPR and left it like that..I didn't want to add any other conditioner to mess up with CPR did.

Still out on Fantasia Hair Strengthener..

Hits-

Pantene ProV Deep Hydrating Treatment with UV Filter
Pantene ProV Intensive Restoration Treatment
There is no protein (that I am aware of) in either of these two treatments. I literally followed the instructions on the tubes, so no long-time-with-cap-under-dryer syndrome.

Very pleasantly surprised by how soft and moisturized my hair was after using these two products!

I cut down on protein this month, so no UBH-GPB conditioner combo. I thought I would NEVER stop this combo, but something told me to try a switch every now and then. Very good results!

Happily, no misses.
