I just measured a strand and I have only gained 1.5 inches since I colored my hair in February

    Current length: Bsl
    Goal length: waist
Hair details: 4b, natural, medium porosity, bkt, low density
    Monthly growth rate: 1/4 inch

I am trying to improve my growth rate by washing every 5-7 days, massaging my scalp with Nioxin treatment nightly, and taking hair-skin-nails vitamins.

I'm a slow grower. I haven't measured my strands since early in the year (if not the beginning). I'm hoping can see at least extra 4-5 inches (total) by the end of the year.

I don't know what my growth rate is. I'm hoping next year I will really be able to measure. I know my hair is longer than it was in January but I don't know how many inches.

Thanks @faithVA. It's just discouraging when I'm spending so much time and money trying to get at least "average" growth. I guess I just have to work that much harder to retain what I have. The bkt has given my hair a second life, so at least I am not dealing with breakage anymore.

I am DEFINITELY a slow grower. I grow 1/4 of an inch a month. And I had the nerve to color my hair two years ago and do another mini chop last year.

    Current length: NL
    Goal length: APL
(If I make BSL that will be a blessing)
Hair Details: Kinky, fine strands, medium density, lurves protein
Growth Rate: 1/4 inch per month

To retain length, I protective style most of the time and wear my hair out one week a month. I mainly do twist outs during this period, retwisting every two days. Supplements don't speed up growth for me so I take them for overall health verses hair growth. I also drink 100+ ounces of water, eat healthy, and exercise at least 4-5 days a week. I don't do this for hair growth, I do it as a lifestyle. Obviously, it is not a factor in speedy hair growth for me.

I'm a slow grower. I feel like this year I might have experienced my first setback since I started on my HHJ but if I make WL by the end of the year/Feb 2017 then I think I would be right on target. (Math was never my strong suit.)

    Current length: MBL
    Goal length: TBL
Hair details: Fine - medium strands, low - medium density.
    Monthly growth rate: 1/4"/ year
What are you doing to speed growth rate? Increased protein, bamboo tea daily. I also plan on living in 2 stand twists for the winter since they are the best protective style for me.

I'm still massaging my scalp with Nioxin every morning. I'm trying to lose weight so I've been drinking lots of water and eating a good amount of protein.

Less than 1/2 inch a month. They say averaged growth is 1/2 inch. Anything less is considered slow.

Hmm....I don't think you qualify for this tread...."less than an inch", I interpret that to be more than 1/2 inch a month. Don't worry with your growth rate, you should reach your goal in no time especially if you are applying great retention practices.

By slow growers, I think this stands for way less than 1/2 inch a month...maybe a quarter of an inch.

-Current length- 16 inches/ bra strap
    -Goal length- 24inches/waist length
+Hair details- 4a/b, fine and normal density . High porosity.
-Monthly growth rate- 0.3 of and inch. Meaning that in 3 months I'm just under a inch.
-speed up growth rate- I'm trying out xcel hair growth spray. I'm also going to really focus on retention now.

I'm eating so much healthier these days and I feel great! I think my previous eating habits were the cause of my slow growth.

I'm redoing my bkt this week and that'll be my start length since I started eating clean.

I actually grew .5" in 25 days using that NuWerk Xcel21 spray. I did a henna/indigo about three days prior to using it. Not sure what I've retained because I did need to do a little dusting. But the new growth is definitely there.

Thanks for the review! 1/2 inch in 25 days is awesome. Hopefully I can find a bottle on the ground. I hate paying for shipping.
