I get so frustrated with my new growth that sometimes I think prayer is the only thing, smh

But when I'm sane and in my right mind and not eying the creamy crack or scissors, 1.) protein shampoo, then a protein treatment, followed by deep conditioning 30mins - 1hr. 2.) Braid outs and buns 3.) Making sure my new growth is presentable and ignoring my hair until the next wash day.

I went almost 4 months without a relaxer this year. What I noticed is that the longer I stretch, the dryer my hair gets. Low manipulation is a must if you're going to do long stretched IMO. and for me I MUST wash once a week. The longer I go without washing the more hair tangles and knots as I get deeper in my stretch.

I definitely agree. I am currently way past 4 months post, I had to up my cowashing game and DCing game after 4 months. Now I practice low manipulation and I only comb my hair when it's drenched in conditioner...
