Hit: Using Trader Joe's Tingle Treat Conditioner to co-wash.

It leaves my hair soft, detangled and clean! Plus, it's super cheap and can be found on the ground!

So uh...how does that go? Very curious....

I just mix my DCer in a bowl with Agave nectar (I don't measure, just pour:look:). I typically leave the DCer in overnight and My hair is very soft after I rinse. If you are worried about sticky buildup it has not happened to me.

Kind of like adding honey? I may give this a try. I've got some leftover Agave nectar that I wasn't sure what I'd do with.

Still building my regimen and experimenting. So far:

Hit: ORS replenishing for DC :lick: <~~ went to Walgreens and bought every bottle they had on the shelf
chi silk infusion for heat (which i do VERY minimally)
coconut and castor oil for sealing

MAJOR HIT: Ayurvedic cowashes 2-3 x week. This is the best thing ever! makes stretching a breeze!!! I had to experiment some, but finally hit on mixing 1 tsp each of amla, brahmi and bringhaj with HE LTR condish and grapeseed oil. Leave on for 1-3 hours and cowash out with HE LTR. OMG, hair so soft and no tangles at all. And moisture for days!!!!

Miss: jojoba oil (my hair cant stand it :nono:), africans best herbal oil, yuck
tea rinses (my hair tangles horribly with these)

That is the best moisturizer for my hair. My hair has never felt so soft. I also add Aloe Vera Juice to my spritz.

MAJOR MISS:

Natural and texlaxed hair - I gave it an honest run of 2.5 years in total and I ended up with too many ssks with both of them and only 4" of hair in the end. Going back to straight relaxed hair.

Heavy haeavy heavy HIT:

KERASTASE MASQUE SUBSTANTIF - WOW!

I only used literally the size of a quarter on my hiar today and it was wonderful as I was putting it on and as I washed it 10 minutes later. This is definitely a staple.

It says it's moisture for mature hair but I think mature can also be older hair on anyone, especailly the hair ends. I flat ironed it and my hair is manageable and very bouncy even though it's quite short. I love it:lick:.

Revisited hit:
Castor Oil- I used this while I was transitioning and my hair was doing great, then I found all these other oils and butters and never went back. Recently I went back and I'm wondering why I ever abandoned it because my hair has never been more soft and moisturized.
