How does Lotus Flower compare to Down There?

I definitely prefer the Lotus Flower as far as ingredients and style.
Lotus Flower is a liquid wash while Down There is bar.soap (I don't know if she made it a wash yet because I didn't repurchase it).

APB feminine products made my mom, who was a die hard FDS and Summers Eve user, switch to the APB products. For me, that was endorsement enough right there cause my momma will hunt through Wal-Marts and grocery stores across a city for her favorite FDS and SE products.
That lady don't play when it come to her feminine products:lachen:

Okay, I'll buy some APB LF when my DT bar is half gone.

I'm sittin' here trying to imagine Mama RileyPak, asking the Customer Service desk if they have her stuff in inventory cause she don't see it on the shelf.

Girl she will make folks call other locations to see if they have it, have them verify how many are on the shelf, and then make them hold her some at the CS desk.

@AgeinATL I don't really do too much when it comes to my skin. I have dry/sensitive skin but outside of that, my skin is clear and even toned.

Face
Biore Charcoal Soap
Raw Honey
Alba Botanical Hawaiian Facial Wash
Indeed Laboratories Snoxin Serum
Camillia Oil & Rose Hip Seed Oil (night time)
VanityPlanet Face & Body Cleansing Brush

In regards to body products; I use Geovanni Grapefruit Sky Body Wash, SM Argan Oil & Raw Shea Hand & Body Scrub, Kirk's Castille Soap, and Japanese Towel.

BIG FAT MISS:

HQS The Slip Deep Conditioner - wow that stuff has zero Slip. I cowashed my hair with it because i couldn't imaging it doing anything else. I have more that I will add oil to for a little slip when I cowash with it again. Or maybe I'll boil some of my slippery elm to add to it for the slip.

@Aggie

This one doesn't get good reviews at all. I think the Peppermint one and the other one gets the best reviews as far as her DC'ers.

The only way I use this is mixed with henna to make a henna gloss.

@IDareT'sHair

Thanks hun. I think I have those in the sample size so I will give them a try tomorrow morning as a cowash. I don't even care to try them as DCs anymore :nono:

@Colocha

Thanks love but I can't even imagine this being great even in a henna gloss. I need a lotta slip for henna gloss treatments since they are so drying.

APB Cleansing Hair Creme. I like it. I used it this morning. Detergent is pretty high in the list so I expected to cleanse well. I didn't get any foaming. I applied it to my hair, smoothed down and rubbed it into my scalp. I let it sit while I did that to all the sections in my hair.

After I rinsed, my hair felt clean. Not stripped, but clean for a conditioner cleanser. Cleaner than DevaCurl. With DevaCurl I can use just a rinse out; with APB, I don't think I can play with that option and needed to DC. I had just used the SM curling soufflé so my hair felt some kind of way. This cleaned it off well. My hair deep conditioned well and feels awesome.

I'm definitely going to be using these and DevaCurl because I see pros in keeping both around. I rarely have and use more than two cleansers, but this will be a 3rd and hopefully a staple. I use clay and am trying to cut it down to 1x a month. I use DevaCurl in between but since it's barely stripping, light cleansing at best, it leaves buildup over the course of 2 weeks. This week is week 2 so using this came in time because it's what I need to sufficiently get rid of buildup without washing my hair. It's literally my happy medium.

I have the 8oz bottle and probably barely used 1-1.5 ounces. This bottle can easily last me 6-8 uses and I make 10 sections when I wash. DevaCurl is 12oz and I think only lasted 6 washes.

I want to try a few more times, but I hope it's also offered in 16oz and I will be buying more.

Olive oil eco styler. Excellent hold, doesn't dry out hair. Don't even need a scarf to lay down hair, so I can wash and do my hair in the morning. I want to try the argan oil version next because I hear it makes hair even softer.

Super, Duper Hit
APB Lotus Flower Feminine Wash - Yeah this one was love at first wash. I tried another brand's feminine wash and it irritated me something fierce plus the texture was really thick and a little difficult to work with. APB's wash is super gentle and you don't need to use a lot of it.
@Miss Kane did the thing with this one! I've found myself loving her body and face products more and more lately.

It's SO GOOD! I picked up two more with her BOGO sale a few weeks back

Y'all PJs crack me up!

Hit: Coffee rinse/soak - regular ol' medium roast did the trick, barely any sheds this week.

Mostly a miss: using jojoba oil for WO and detangling. This stuff is way too light; my hair took longer to detangle and dry. It did leave my hair soft without being greasy, so it will be mixed with castor oil in the future.

Ive been using a moisturizing spritz from haircrush/chime that has gotten me out of dry hair hell.
She talks abt it at the one minute mark
I take my spray bottle and add 60% water, 30% glycerin, and the last 10% is half aloe and half oil. Been doing it for 2 months so far and the results have made me extremely happy w my hair's health. Im at the 'cant stop touching my hair' stage

Hit-miss:

Very, very surprisingly, happily, and sadly . . .

Especially Hair's Moisture Foundation

(NOTE: This is a DC that can double as a leave-in and wash-n-go styler).

INGREDIENTS and VIDEOS are at this thread: https://longhaircareforum.com/threads/brand-especially-hair-line.796545/

Maaaaaannnnnnnnn! I have never seen my natural hair in the STATE it was in when I applied this product. Moisturized, light, hydrated, detangled, elongated, soft, defined, shiny, black . . . did I say elongated and moisturized and defined?!?? Just AWESOME! My hair felt and looked GREAT!!!

MAJOR PROBLEM: I was only able to apply it to one section of my hair (like 1/24th of my hair). The smell is waaaaaaaaaaay toooooooooo strong. Husband smelled it halfway up the stairs before he even got to the second floor! Within 10-15 minutes, I had a headache. I am now on a hunt for a product that does my hair the same way but smells neutral or good. I have NO idea how I'm going to find a copycat product.

This mornings wash. Oh man. I'm so upset at myself.

APB Cleansing Rinse Creme is bae. I told y'all already. I put it in my cart already.

APB Moisturizing Conditoner went on like nobody business and rinsed out like a dream. Hair was like butta.

Applied KeraVada to soaking wet hair. Used just a little. I'm so upset I won't be able to find this again. I really don't want to try the new stuff because Shea butter is really funny and their stuff is hella high. Hair felt nice.

Flaxseed gel as a sealer. Is my hair soft or does it feel soft? Omg. It's not hard either.

This whole wash day makes me happy because hair is bae and sad because it will be hard to recreate it, all at the same time :cry3:
