Mega-Tek Mix:in a small container mix 2oz of Mega-tek + 1/8 teaspoon castor oil + 1/8 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil + 1/8 teaspoon SAA from lotioncrafters.com. (thanks justkiya)

OCT/Mega-Tek combo:mix MT and OCT in an applicator bottle, adding Grapeseed oil, Jojoba oil, and a little Vitamin E and a couple of drops of Rosemary. Apply that just to the scalp every other day


Mega-Tek Mix:6 oz MT cell rebuilder, 1 oz grapeseed oil, 1oz Jamaican Black Castor Oil, 1 oz aloe vera oil (aloe vera gel can also be used)15 -18 drops of rosemary or peppermint or lavender essential oil (or 5-6 drops of each), 2 oz BB Oil Moisturizer hair lotion with castor oil and aloe, 1 Tblspn of flowers of sulfur powder (yellow), 3 tubes of MN
-1. Mix the MN with the BB moisturizer in a bowl first
-2. Mix all ingredients together in a color applicator bottle, shake and squeeze on scalp only daily

"Pre-oil" with OCT or Mega-Tek: 1). oil scalp first with an oil such as almond oil, extra virgin olive oil, safflower oil, sesame oil, carrot oil, wheat germ oil, jojoba oil, ayurveda oils or any other oil you like 2). then apply the OCT or Mega-Tek to scalp with a color-applicator bottle

I was just getting ready to post a progress update to the November thread 'til I saw this one.

I finally uploaded my start photos. They're in my public album. My signature shows my new start date of 11/19/2008 vice 10/24/2008. So my December reveal won't reveal too much. I had to trim my ends after I exploded them with my Remington Wet-to-Dry flat-iron. My hair was too wet and the steam and heat was brutal. But, my ends are a lot healthier (and uneven) since the trim so I'm in good spirits.

After a 1 week break I'm back to MegaTeking 3 times a week. I took a week off in order to get my moisture back. I double processed Henna/Hendigo'd my hair and the moisture got stripped out. Also, this cold dry weather didn't help either. Plus, I had to stop taking a garlic supplement and find a different one. The first one gave me sinus congestion and headaches. Those 3 changes spelled breakage and shedding.

I just hit 8 weeks post texturizer yesterday and my new growth is manageable. My goal is to stretch to 12 weeks before a touch-up. So to celebrate I treated my hair to an intensive Rhassoul/conditioner Home Grown Steam Treatment. I got the idea from the Bentonite conditioner thread. I didn't have any Bentonite so I used the Rhassoul instead. I highly recommend the Home Grown Steam Treatment with a good moisturizing conditioner to restore the moisture balance. Plus, a final coffee rinse as a topical treatment to combat shedding does the trick too.

Im joining this month! I am using mega-tek straight on my scalp 4-5 days a week. I am upping moisture to everyday and sealing with oil. I am staying away from any other protein products and only using mega-tek on my scalp. As I am natural and dont really need a lot of protein. I am taking 500mg of garlic every other day (Its supposed to be odorless but really isnt and I cant stand it any more than that ) I might try mixing my mega tek with silk amino's and castor oil as suggested next week. I have been using it straight for the last two weeks or so and so far so good. Im going to use my last pic in my siggy for progress because I took that about two weeks before I started. Can Yall tell Im excited!

I have seen some growth but I did not take good before pics. Still, I think MT will help me get to BSL by June 1st. If that happens then I know I can say it was MT. I use it 2x per week and leave it in for about 6 hours before washing in out with my conditioner

If I remember, I'll take pics this weekend - it'll be a little short of two months. I'm pretty sure I've gotten an inch, maybe a little more - and considering I was doing a steady 1/4 inch a month, and my hair usually stops growing altogether once it gets cold - that's quite pleasing.

I posted to the November one too before I realized that it was the end of the month. Well, my before and so on pics are in my album. I cut about an inch on the 29th of October so I had a bit of a setback. But it is definetly thicker. I plan to get my hair done around Christmas so maybe I will have a little more growth by then. I will post it when I do. I was using MT and OCT but I ran out of OCT the other day and I probably won't get anymore till next year. I have about two and a half bottles of MT so I will use that up.
