I know some people had long hair as a youngster or teenager and they are trying to get that back but is there anyone like me whos never had long hair or is in new territory coz its the longest its ever been???:dance7:

My hairs never been more the on the short side of earlength unstretched so its easy to "wow" friends and family or get compliments lol!:look: Plus its really exiting.

The only downfall is that I dont know how long my hair can grow so Im not setting myself on waistlength or anthing..

Tickledpinkies I say go for BROKE!!!!!! :dance7:

Put the peddle the the metal and grow, grow, grow!

I don't think you can set yourself up for disappointment because since your hair is already as long as it has ever been everything else is gravy.

I too am in the same Club :yay: When I had my son it reached to my shoulders but now it is way past that and BSL is now my new best friend.

Isn't it wonderful!? :drunk: The worst that could happen is that as of tonight you hair will never grow another inch (which is not possible) but even with that you have reached a goal you never thought was possible until you gained some knowledge about how to take care of your hair.

Let me officially congratulate
:clapping: you on your success and I truly believe you are going to be amazed at what else your hair has in store for you on this wonderful journey of healthy hair care.:bouncy:

Go for toe length even if you only reach BSL it is all still good. What is that saying make a plan then work the plan. Set the goal high and be thankful for whatever length you reach because it will still be a success.

I promise you one day someone is going to look at your hair site and think the same thing and you will be there to show them it is possible with healthy hair care the hair does and will grow and the most important thing is maintain length.

You have done something right where your hair is thriving, well it will only continue as long as it is satisfied with the regimen you have in place.

Yay Tickledpinkies!!!!!!!!!

Me...I HAVE NEVER had long hair. My hair is at its longest ever. I have a fotki, pw in profile. I had to lock it. I have had pornographic advertisements attaching to my fotki. I have also had to disable comments, but feel free to check out my growth. My shortest hair pics are not on there because I don't have any to post. Just from the time that I joined LHCF last year.

The longest hair I ever had was about APL I think, well APL that may have been pressed out to between APL-BSL(shrinkage). I'm at shoulder length now, I'm trying to get back to APL and my length I really secretly want:blush: is BSL. So I'm trying to get back to a little longer than the longest I've ever had. I think I can do it!

That would be me. My hair is by far the longest it's ever been. While growing up, my hair was neck to collarbone length when straightened/stretched. Now, I'm at a healthy, full brastrap length.

Hi Tickled!

Check out this thread.

http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=110388&page=6

My hair has never been long. But as a child my hair stayed at ear length for almost 10 years. it wasn't until I got braids and started to keep them moisturized that my hair grew to SL.

SL isn't long but I got teased so badly as a child about my hair. People would tell me if they had my hair they would get a weave. So when I achieved SL it was a big accomplishment for me.

Don't give up!

Co-signing on this also! My hair has never been as long as it is now (Aug. Fotki pics) and I'm really happy about that. I've had short hair ALLLL during childhood/teen years and it probably didn't start growing, growing until late 20s/early 30s when I learned to better take care of it. I've always wanted longer hair when I was younger, but it just never was. I'm very happy with what it's done now and do get lots of compliments because people who know me have always known me with shorter hair. :)

I know I'm so not used to this long hair thing as sometimes when my hair falls on my neck, I get freaked out thinking something's crawling on me then I realize, "oh that's just my hair!" :lachen:

***sigh***
longest ever by far
when I was growing up and through college my hair was never much past sl (may have been longer when I was a kid and not straightening but I sure don't remember it), I was so excited after I joined this board and my hair got to full, even armpit length - that had been my ultimate goal for forever.

Make your ultimate goal whatever you want, if you take good care of your hair who knows how long and healthy it'll get. I never thought my hair could get past sl without breaking back off much less actually grow well past that.

I've NEVER had long hair (probably through improper care). The bottom layer is past SL and it has NEVER been that long. I'm aiming for BSL.

This site is such a god send:grin:

The longest I ever had was shoulder or just below, and that was only after becoming an adult and trying to get better about taking care of my hair. I have reached the longest in my life here at LHCF.:yep:

Not yet :ohwell: It's gonna take me another 1 1/2 - 2 years to get there. It has grown the most this past year than it has in the past 5 put together though.

Yes. It was kinda long compared to other girls in my class, at shoulder length(give or take a few breakage incidents) or a little past shoulder length in adulthood. Now it's pretty much BSL. Big difference!

I've had longer (APL), for about 15 minutes  I still have no clue how I didn't realize just how LONG my hair was before I got my perm - gotta love shrinkage!

Since I grew that in five years, while being totally neglectful and harsh to my hair, including transitioning out of relaxed hair via breakage, :)nono:) I have no doubt that I'll reach, and surpass that length.

My hair is a few inches from APL and it is definitely the longest it's ever been! When I was a child my hair was never past shoulder length. I'm so excited because I do believe with patience my hair will reach BSL!
