Has anyone tried this Keratin Treatment? I heard great things about QOD Max and I was thrilled to find the OrganiQ one because it is formaldehyde free and you can wash it out the same day - only a 5 minute wait. No waiting 48 hours before washing it out.

My daughter is in HS and she wants to straighten her hair TBL hair. It would cost me a small fortune in a salon.

I am really excited!!

Hi Bianca,

I haven't tried this BUT I did just look up last night after reading the Keratin Forum on naturallycurly.com. I believe someone named 'keratin4u' sells it in a "shot" size for only $48.

I have used the regular formula with only 0.02% Formeldahyde but I stopped because I just don't like the thought of anything with Formeldahyde that close to my scalp. I'm still using the Organix 30 Day Treatment because I can keep my curls and it doesn't revert when it's straight; not even in extremely humid weather.

BTW, I just ordered the new Organix 14 Day Treatment from Ulta.com (they didn't have any in stock in the stores because it's new) because you spray it in your hair and then blowdry and flat iron. The application process is much easier and less time.

Have you purchased the Organix Brazilian Keratin Serum and Flat Iron Spray? OMG, your daughter will LOVE these products. I used them again yesterday and my hair looks like a fresh BKT. Another temporary fix is the John Fried 3-Day Straight, it really does work even in very, very high humidity! Her hair should not frizz with this product. These are products you can try before you get her hooked on the BKT treatments..lol. :)

I did the Organix 30 Day Keratin Treatment early in the summer on both kids and they liked it, but the results didn't last long at all and their hair reverted very quickly. We were in Louisiana and it was extremely humid.

The new QOD Max OrganiQ is also formadehyde free and that was another big plus as well as being able to shampoo it out after only 5 minutes.

I'll post my reviews and before and after picss when I get my product.

I just wanted to post about the vendor that I purchased this from. They are excellent!! I ordered Sunday night and received it Wednesday afternoon. The bottle was well wrapped and padded and the shipping was free.

My bottle is new with a Feb 2013 expiration date.

They are the official QOD distributer in the US.

4mia - sorry I missed your question. You are supposed to use sulfate and sodium free products with this. I use the Organix Keratin Shampoo and Cond - it is only about $7 a bottle and works really well. You can often find them on BOGO 1/2 off at Walgreens, CVS or Ulta.
