May 2017 What Did You Buy This Week?

Sharpened

A fleck on His Sword

I am disappointed it came in this crappy bottle and somebody removed the liquid part of the oil that stays melted until winter. This is one reason I want that flip-top lid jar of the new Eco Style Castor Oil & Flaxseed Gel.

Okay after trying that Soultanicals Knot Proof Hair Glide on my hair to detangle with in the shower this morning, I decided to buy more during this memorial day sales. I purchased 4 more bottles a couple minutes ago because that stuff detangled my hair like a breeze plus I left it in as a leave-in today.

:yep:

I can relate. I'm down to 2.5 bottles and considering making a purchase during this sale.

J.R. Liggetts shampoo bars sampler to compare with the 22nd Century Shampoo Bar

Soultanicals Sprung Coil Jelly

I hope Soultanicals has improved regarding consistency. Fingers crossed! I really, really held back. I wanted 4 other Soultanicals products (3 new-to-me). Good thing they are running out of stock! ;)

Besides coconut oil pills, I'm done for a spell, hopefully.

Bit more:-

Kerastase Resistance Soin Premier Therapiste
Kerastase Resistance Therapiste Bain

I couldn't take the reviews. The guy just delivered it; damn it smells good if not a bit strong.

Okay I'm done for a while...

MyHoneyChild Sophia's Hair Grease :love3:
Curluxe Sweet Almond Leave In Conditioner :heart3:
Afroveda Moringa Supreme Ginseng Detangling Spray
Curl Origin Moringa & Agave Moisturizing Detangling Mist

I really wanted to like the MHC Sophia grease since it doesn't have castor oil, but it made me itch too! I haven't figured out which ingredient my scalp doesn't like yet. I've switched to CD mimosa honey - so far so good! That moringa supreme spray sounds good. Is it a re-up?

ETA: my only purchase so far was 2 pkts of Keracare Thermal Wonder Pre-poo.

Soultanicals (all first-time purchases):
  • Twist Assist Coil Defining Cream
  • 'Fro Despair Vitamin Hair Repair Mega DC (I am running out of my Camille Rose Naturals Coconut Water Deep Penetrating Hair Treatment, so I'll see how these compare)
  • Hair Sorrell- Knappylicious Kink Drink
The discount got me! It's time for a no-buy (except to re-up important empties) for June and July. :yep: Grateful to be stocked up!

The Moringa spray is a new purchase. I'm hoping I like it. I grabbed it because I need a moisturizing leave in spray and I wanted to try it out.

Sorry to hear that about the Sophia's. It's HG for me. How were you using it? I use it as a heavy sealant.

Close to my scalp - mainly to soften my new growth while stretching my relaxer.

Singin’ the praises of the baggy method
My Curl Squad:
1 set of 30, all-black, husky rollers/curlers.

I still don't feel I have my ends-care game down. If they get tattered/damaged, that's the opposite of length retention. Maybe if I get a good roller-setting regimen down, my ends will be more preserved.

I'm going to practice with these for a month or so, compare the outcome to flexirod setting, and go from there.

This Sally's product (per LHCF-recommendation because my hand-held dryer isn't working well with my beloved HairFlair attachment):

I know this is an old tread, but I would really like to know your experience with the Curlsquad rollers, specifically for stretching the ends.
