What would your hair be like now!? What style/state?

I know I would have shaved one side (or even two - hair was pinned back in pic below!) by now to style out temple breakage, I probably wouldn't be natural, my hair probably would have been weak, thin and the rest would probably be weaved up like crazy! Said probably like 57465 times :|

LOL do you ever wonder what your hair would be like!? Post here :)

OP, your hair is the bomb! :D

My hair would be neck length, thin, and brittle. And I'd still be relaxed.

My hair would be the same as it is now. I've been natural for years before I found this site. I don't really follow a lot of the things done here for hair.

I would still be relaxed and barely at shoulder length talking about how my hair grows slowly and celebrating my 1 inch retention over six months. I also would be brushing/combing it dry daily before work and using high heat for my blow dryer and flat iron once a week. I would condition but I would not leave in any products or moisturize between washings. And, to make things even worse I would be thinking I had long hair since it touched my shoulders.

It's been almost 3 years I have been natural but more importantly taking care of my hair and now I am almost bsl and I don't think my hair is long at all.

I would be uninformed and ignorant about how to properly care for my hair. I have been natural for 15 years before I found this forum. I would still be a natural in twist and comb coils. I have learned so much about hair care and moisture/protein balance. It has built my confidence in caring for my hair and I have seen my hair grow to a length and condition that it has never been (shoulder length and healthy) versus short, brittle, dry and constantly breaking. Mucho accolades and praise to this site and the members who provide relevant and knowledgeable information concerning good hair care practices.

My hair would be relaxed, above shoulder length pulled back into a ponytail every single day. Blowdrying and flat ironing every week.

Now i am very close to APL natural hair (even with lots of setbacks). No heat at all......and when i wear my braidouts i feel fabulous and look like how God wanted me to look. Cliche, but Natural hair just suits me and frames my face. I rarely if ever wore my hair out when relaxed.

Ear length and getting shorter.
Relaxed
Crazy dyed...
Hair as dry as straw.
Still wondering about all those little dry broken ends after I used the curling iron (EVERY MORNING!) :ohwell:
Loads of broken hair pieces all over my back/shoulders as I went to work.
Still using just any random shampoo/conditioner. (What's a sulfate?)
Washing rarely.
No heat protectant (What's heat protectant? :perplexed)
Letting any old body relax my hair once I "needed" a relaxer touch up.
Still searching high and low for the pink ultra sheen... I LOVED that stuff. Thought it was THE answer...sigh!

I was a hot mess. But I didn't know any better. My mom wasn't white, but she had "white" hair. So I didn't know. :nono:

I actually have a photo from 2 months before I first "found" Ateyaaa on YouTube. From there I was launched! The other photo is from Dec. 2011.

Warning: Hot messiness in the first pic is not for the faint of heart..

I had some pretty good hair care habits anyway, so I would probably have longer hair since I didn't obsess about split ends and such. I would also probably be wearing my hair out everyday :look:

InBloom

In my new-growth
I would still be in a pixie cut. Although my hair was very short, and relaxed to the hilt, it always looked fly! I would just have continued thinking that my hair was meant to be very short and left it at that. Now I know that my hair grows, that I just need to work on retention. My whole hair philosophy has changed.

well considering I use to relax bleach then color all in the same week. I am sure I would still have only 3 inches of hair. Telling myself I look better with short hair!

My hair before the site was healthy. However, I normally kept it in a bob and colored. So, I would say a relaxed blonde bob and sometimes in a ponytail.

WOW. You ladies took the words right out my mouth! My hair would of been above shoulder length constantly breaking dry and in braids and/or weaves. I would be constantly trying to grow it with out having any idea where to start.

Inspiired I didn't have a source really. I've always been k.i.s.s. with my hair routine out of sheer laziness. One I Had my parents sto getting relaxers/texturizers in my hair, it grew like a weed. I had really long hair up until age 7 or 8 when my mom had it cut ALL off because it was not manageable.

When I finally became a member on this site I was already MBL. I knew my hair needed some moisture but I am lazy and didn't want to add another step but once I did, I hit waist within a few months. I guess what I am trying to say Is I don't have to do much to get my hair to grow. I'm thankful. I wish I could be this careless with what I eat. lol
