Amen to that. Speak the truth and the priceds of some well no most of the all natural stuff can be expensive. At one point I thought about quiting my job and starting an all natural business. I belive at some point in time very soon that this is going to be the next craze...all natural hair, body and food products....hmmmmmm my wheels are starting to turn!!!

Epiphany make sure you keep us in the know about you starting your own natural company because i'll be first in line and ready to order! I would love to be able to go to one place to get all my natural needs!!

My Regimen
-Co-Wash weekly with WEN
-final rinse with stingy nettle tea
- Detangle on wet hair with WEN styling creme and air dry in 2 pigtails
-usually DC before co-wash with Alter Ego conditioner (for shedding), WEN Re-Moist Intense Hair treatment (moisture), ORS mayo (for protein) use them depends on what my hair needs
-daily moisture with Cantu Shea butter
-Spray hair and scalp daily with stingy nettle tea
-OCT scalp every other day
- Seal with Castor oil
- I PS in buns 24/7
- i just started using Roux porosity Control shampoo last time i wash before i used WEN, my hair felt it got my moisture back, my hair was dry even before i finished moisturing my hair. so i plan to use it about every 5 weeks or so

I am currently 2 days away from 11wkspost. and i plan to relax in April at 27wks post. but i usually relax every 12-14 weeks with Mizani. i go to the Dominican Salon for that.

i will take a starting pic in January on a day im moisturizing. but my current length in my siggy is from October '09, and my avitar is from end of November '09

Can't believe how ppl still by from them...but that is another thread:lachen: yea I posted a reply on it too!!!
I would sell oils too, I would love to have a one stop shop for all natural hair and body products!!!

It's amazing how many companies stay in business with such poor customer service ethics!! I currently have to drive to like 3 different stores to get all of my natural hair needs  It sucks big time! I have to set a plan becuase they are on 3 different sides of town :spinning: And to have a one stop shop for hair and body with good customer service sounds like music to my ears! :lachen: So i'm going to pray for you that everything goes well and God will bless you with this business and make all our lives a lot easier! :yep:

FYI, since I started the challenge a little early. I just want to put that i'm tweeking my regimen a bit. On days when i'm applying MT to dry hair which is only once a week. I've decided to incorporate Aloe Vera Gel. I was parting my hair and noticed it was still a little dry after adding coconut oil to my ends. After parting and apply MT I also went in and put aloe vera gel to my hair only. I will continue to add oil after my application of MT directly to my scalp. So after I added AV gel I took my boar brush to smooth down my new growth a bit and after I wrapped my hair the next morning my hair lay extremely flat and was easier to put in a ponytail and bun the next morning. I'm going to keep track of how well this works and if I should continue to do this on dry app days. I'll keep you all posted. I forgot to take pics but I will the next time I apply.

Wow, only ten members... :( (smiley79 walks away in tears for missing out)

Well, I'll join in the sideline as well...do we have to check in if we're on the sidelines..

does anyone use OCT anymore? I don;t see it as much on the board. My megatek is running out and sheer curiosity is pusihing me to give the OCT a try and compare the two. But my funds are telling me to stick to the MT, lol.

I use OCT. Still using two bottles I bought last year this time. Unfortunately I don't use it regularly, but when I do use, its about 1/2 tsp on my scalp only. Finished up one bottle last night. So it does last a while. I have thought about buying Megatek when this ends though. The consistency of OCT is very thin and it smells light but good. It doesn't leave that much residue on the hair if you decide not to rinse it out.

epiphany braids, i have a question. I will be 13 wks post. And i know we have to take a picture showin our scalp. Do I have to strengthen my new growth or something?

I used MT first then OCT. OCT works faster than MT as far as length goes but it does not thicken your hair like the MT. I find that the two mixed together give the best results. I usally start with 100 % MT then gradually save $$for the OCT. So when my MT is half done i refill it with the OCT and contimue to do so until both bottles are done. The two combined have done wonders for my hair!. Hope this helps.

I am sooo sorry Smiley about me deciding to have only ten members
I decided to keep this challenge VERY small because as a leader I am very involved, I feel that if the challenge gets so big the challengers will forget that they are apart of a challenge :nono: and if we are doing a challenge together I believe small groups work best especially when posting our trails and tribulations of our hair journey. It gives me better control over sending reminders and providing support and everything else that involves being a leader of a challenge.
Plus it is for a short period of time, this is because I like to work in phases, this will give an opportunity for those who could not join the first one have a chance at the next one!! HINT HINT HINT!!!
I often like to take breaks from using MT/OCT and creating a 3 month challenge will allow me to do so and others!!
I am rambling on sorry about that, this challenge means a lot to me especially what I have planned!!!
I hope that you will still follow as it will be a very informative and positive resulting challenge!!!

Ok guys, I'm getting braids done on Saturday, so I decided to take the starting pics today while i was putting on my OCT/biotin/Castor oil mix on my scalp.. and then moisturize with Cantu Shea butter, and seal with Castor oil.

I am 13 weeks post today and my hair looks horrible right now in these pics so bear with me. I just put my hair in buns every day, so it doesnt really look that bad.

Goal is to reach BSB by April 2010.
I'm getting braids on Saturday, and hope to keep it till the beginning of March

Regimen
Will Co-wash in braids weekly, and moisturize daily.
put OCT mixed in scalp every other day.
Spray Scalp every other day with stingy nettle tea (the days dont put OCT)
