After my 1 year anniversary transitioning this month (Jan. 27th) I will get one inch of my hair cut off (I hope I can wait until then; I want to do it NOW; really would like to get about 2 inches cut off)

-will deep condition each week
-mainly tie it down with a scarf and air dry; bun it daily for the next 3 months
-moisturize and seal my ends daily (want to preserve them b/c I will wear more straight styles when spring comes

This month (and next), I really want to concentrate on length retention 'cause I want 2 inches by Easter (March 23), then I will trim 1 inch off. To accomplish my goal, I plan to:
  • wear lots of protective styles
  • moisturize daily, especially ends
  • remain consistent with the rest of my regimen
Frankly, I'm a bit bored with protective and low manipulation styles. So beginning in March, I plan to enjoy my hair more by wearing it down, which I haven't done in a very long time.

Well semester is starting up, I'm looking into experimenting and doing Kinky twists, I usually do box braids while in school. Try something new and I will be using my MN and MTG still. Clarifying once a month, using the braid spray/infusium/oil mixture when I get braids and using cholesterol every week.

This month I will be...

CO-washing, air dry, braidout
MTGing every 2-3 days
Scalp massages at night
Taking my vitamins and drinking my knox gelatin
Decide if I'm going to go natural or transition back to Texlax

But I think i'mma let my hair do what it do! She'll tell me whats best.

Try to keep my hair from breaking off. Really. I need to use a little more protein. I may go back to a K.I.S.S routine. DC once a week cowash in between (or not) Bun everyday. My hair and I are a little upset with each other at this time.

HoneyA

Goal:Hip length stretched
Already had the protein treatment for the month. I was sooo due.

So for the rest of January
wash 2x a week
pre poo with olive oil b4 each wash
Dc w/heat every time
wear loose braid 99% of the time
comb every week or two

I am currently wearing braids with my own hair. I will keep them in until the end of the month.

While the braids are in, I will do the following:

- DC once a week on dry hair (I tried this yesterday and my hair LOVED IT. Can't do it while my hair is out though, because there's no way I'm going to try detangling my hair while dry, even if it is soaked with condiitoner).
- Moisturize and seal daily

When the braids come out, I will clarify with baking soda, DC, and put the braids back in. I may rock a braidout for a few days though! :lick:

Leaving it alone...I've been pre poo with Dubar Amla co-washing(Wednesday) and DC w. heat(Sunday) wear in a low ponytail with a faux bun over my hair. Moisture and Seal every night and tie down with a silk scarf. I'll probably get some cornrows this weekend to I can really leave it alone.
