I'm getting some in a couple of weeks.

Curious how ladies are maintaining them
How long you're keeping them in?
    Anyone getting touch ups?
    Night time routines
    Sprays, products, and concoctions used
    Anything else

    TIA!

I kept mine in for 8 weeks. Used Rice Water Sprays and spritzs. When my scalp felt itchy, I used ACV

I had mine in for 3 months. When they got a little frizzy I moisturized and add a, little gel and lightly twisted the hair to refresh.

I only used braid spray to maintain my scalp and braids. I had no damage.

I wore my hair in a bonnet 100% of time that I was not out in public.

    I just booked my appointment.
    Getting them done on 3/16

Would be nice to get at least 2.5 months out of them and take them out after Memorial weekend.

Did anyone outright wash their braids?

I've had them for a little over a month now.. I never wash my braids, no braids I get, washed them years ago and my hair was so matted that, I nor the braider could remove the braids without cutting them. I just spray a little oil sheen here and there and always wear a silk/satin scarf at bedtime.

I forgot I made this thread. Because of covid I just got my braids this week.

I plan to make this diy spray to use every few days: https://thecactuscreative.com/2018/03/18/diy-natural-braid-spray/

I have some Shea Moisture No Rinse Foam Cleanser, (which unfortunately I can't find anywhere now to repurchase) I'll use every other week or cleanse my scalp with witch hazel if I run out of that.

I'll probably do a super diluted wash with co-wash at the month mark, maybe earlier depending. Lots of YouTube videos on how folks do that. I've washed my hair in twists before so I'm not concerned about matting.

The girl who did mine offers a touch up so I'll get the perimeter redone at some point based on how they are looking.

I just got knotless braids done last week. So far, I have done to much to it a satin scarf every night and a spray leave-in conditioner *Uncle Funky Daughter's Midnite Train travel size). I plan on oiling m scalp once a week and probably a cowash at the 3 week mark. My goal is to keep these in for 6 to 8 weeks.
