Needed a break from WNG's. my shrinkage is ridiculous and I didn't feel like looking like a little boy on the 4th.

I mixed worlds of curls gel with wet line extreme gel and I got the most soft and beautifully defined wash n go

I havent used gel in over a year! i like the less voluminous look it gave my hair

is it just me or does my hair look similar to whiteoleander91 or is it just wishful thinking:look:

Discovered Another BOMB Combination! I used Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curl Creme and Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding. My curls are hanging...way less shrinkage!

The world of curls is OK. the smell is actually quite pleasant but it doesn't seem to define my Curls enough. that's why I couple it with extreme gel. my hair dried really soft though. gel makes my hair too flat so I prefer using leave in creams. I think I will save the gel for special occasions

Yeah, WoC is very light stuff, so I always have to pair it with a styling gel to get good definition. I'm glad you tried/like it, though!

Here's my attempt at a wash and for today. I tried diffusing for the first time today and it just made it extra frizzy. For those that diffuse, what technique do you use to cut down on the frizz? I don't care for first day hair for hopefully the next day I will like it better. I recently did a henna treatment a couple days ago so it takes a bit for my curls to bounce back.

freshly done and mostly dry comparisons

Hi Fhrizzball
You can add Amla powder to your henna mix. It helps to retain your curls.

No words for how gorgeous your hair is:love::love::love::love::love:

I like the Xtreme/Long Aide Activator combo. I almost bought Worlds of Curls to try but it did look thin but I could see how mixing it with the Xtreme would work.

Lazy Wash and Go Day...put on a head scarf/bandana

1. CoWashed with Cocoa Curl Cleansing Conditioner
2. Lusti's Argon Oil Leave In
3. Natural 7 Oil
4. Herbal Essence Set Me Up Gel

My hair is just so so..the gel is ok. This would be gel that I would use to get bigger hair. My curls are defined better in certain spots and they are fluffy. No crunch.

BraunSugar what conditioner did you use?

Napp I used Suave Almond & Shea Butter. It's very rich and thick. There are some cones in it (which I don't mind), but the majority of the ingredients are actually decent. The Almond oil & shea butter aren't the last things on the ingredient list either. I love it.

to the people that wash n go and use gel, what is your regimen? especially daily wash n goers.

I am starting to prefer the control gel has on my hair but if i cowash i will end up with white clumps in my hair. i need to shampoo and i was wondering if it is ok to shampoo everyday with curly type 4 hair.

Have you tried a mix of half conditioner, half shampoo, or 75% conditioner and 25% shampoo? I have found both of these mixes to be effective at removing gel without stripping my hair. I don't use them, but maybe a cleansing conditioner would work?

I want to try this really bad but I am petrified how my hair is going to turn out hahaha..so what exactly do you do when you use conditioner only?

I normally do my wash and go's in the morning so I am rushing so I don't have alot of time to be putting into it. I usually cowash in the shower, rinse that out, use a leave in, put oil on and then whatever gel I want to use that day. I do my hair in 4 sections but doing smaller sections you could possible get more definition. I am still experimenting with different techniques and products to see the different results I can get.

thanks! i need to make alot of sections when using gel because it doesnt glide through my hair easily so it is ending up being time consuming vs just using a creamy leave in. plus i need to shampoo it out. gel and gel like products cling to my hair even though i rinse thoroughly and i end up with either a white film or clumps.

How often do you clarify your hair?

I had joined the Twist/Braid/Bun Protective Style Challenge, but I don't think it's going to work out :look:. I swear that my hair does worse put up in twists, flattwists, or braids than it does out in a wash n'go-as long as I do it right.

Today I did a wash n'go for the first time in about a month I think. I cowashed and detangled, smoothing my hair down while rinsing, and added Aussie Moist throughout my hair while still in the shower. After I got out, I added GF Pure Clean condish and sealed lightly with oil. This was one of the only times I've done my hair without using sections, and I feel like it went faster. My hair's 95% dry now and I love it . I've never used the Aussie+Pure Clean combo before, but so far it's a winner!

I might be joining y'all in this challenge because wash n'gos are so my thing. I really need to learn how to style my wash n'go though, because once I add the gel there will be zero styling .
