2 Inches In 4 Months Challenge 2017 -final Session - Sept To Dec.

I would also like to join this challenge here to monitor my retention. Maybe I'll have retained something by the 3rd of May check-in.

Complete the following

1. Starting pic

This is from today:

2. Current Length
APL and growing again towards BSL.

3. Regimen
Wash and go for 2 days then bunning for 5 days.

4. What will you do to achieve your goal
By bunning more often, I hope to minimize manipulation and thus mechanical damage to my ends.

Hey ladies, I'm going to join the second round me too.
Goal, and proposed regimen are still the same as above.

I have been trying to take a progress photo and it is funny how a slight tilt of the head backward or forward can add or subtract quite a few inches. It is very difficult to get the head in the correct position. The photos I was producing were fluctuating between this length:

and this length:

I think that the photo below represents the most neutral position with minimal inclination. It shows that I'm pretty much still at the exact same position I was in on the 8th of March. I need to stick more to my low manipulation strategies, and stop washing and restyling so frequently.

Your hair is so pretty! I love it, it's beautiful.

Joining the second session

Current length: 13-14 inches (I don't have pics yet, I'm in an install)
Goal 15-16 inches

Regimen/goals:

Absolutely no heat.
Protective styling daily
Up water intake 32-64oz daily
Work out 4-5 days per week
Hair supplements, chorella, viviscal

I'm changing some things around. I will go back to washing 2x a week, but flat ironing once a week. I have been just weekly washing, but I miss the water and massages. I will go back to bunning, then wear my hair down.

I will still blow dry, but only after I have dried under the hair dryer.

Have the installs been the main reason for your growth? Your hair has grown so much. If I'm remembering you correctly...:)

I feel like I've been retaining an average amount. 4-5 inches a year but with trims I'm between 13-14 inches. Here are some pics of my hair :)

I feel like I should be waist length already sooo that's why I'm joining you ladies :D

Sews ins have definitely helped, simply because I like to wear my hair out and installs force me to protective style. It's also a way to eliminate heat

I just took out my extensions so I'll update my starting pics and measurements. I've also been on top of my vitamens. I'm taking chorella and viviscal. I work out 4-5 times a week.

I noticed growth and my hair appears to be mbl but I won't know for sure until tonight when my bf Takes updated progress pics for me.

I've been on vacation for 2 weeks so have been doing wngs while I have the time. My vacation is coming to an end now so it is back to business as usual. I have decided for a while to keep my regimen simple. I will water rinse, follow it by oil and gel and put it back up into flat twist. I am hoping this simple regimen will extend my color and allow me to make it at least 3 weeks. After that I will shampoo, color and start the process all over again. I plan to keep the same flat twist style for the rest of May and June and then switch to a new style for July.

Hopefully by the end of August I can see some noticeable growth like I did last year. But I haven't been exercising like I did last year. I will try to get back on track tomorrow.

I HAVE A REAL BUN!!! I can finally bun my hair! I'm so excited to see what adding the bun to my arsenal will do for my length retention. I've got some new products too...I'm a product junky...trying the Pantene line. Smells delicious. Haven't used it yet.

That is awesome! You gotta get some new hair accessories now! I have a rat bun! Lol I can't wait to have a nice full bun. That will take another 10-12 months! Let me know how the Pantene works!

:yay: So lucky. :congrats:

You are retaining well now. Hopefully the bun helps your retention even more.

I'm still in an install. This make 5 weeks. Hopefully to make it to another 3 weeks.

I washed and conditioned. Put in leave in and setting mousse. And sat under the dryer.

I'm so happy it still looks good, cause this hair def did some growing in 5 weeks.
