Miss: Aveda Shampure Conditioner--no slip whatsoever(smells good though)
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration--fixed slip problem from^^^, but the smell:barf:--reminds me of that stank stuff I smell on middle aged men that wear pinkie rings and zodiac medallions.

Miss: VS steam rollers. Everytime I use these my hair comes out so limp. barely any curls. It makes so frustrated because I really want to work for me. I've seen people on here that use them and there curls come out beautiful. But for me, I dont know. I'm gonna keep trying or maybe I'll just give them away.:ohwell:

ETA: I used them again tonight and I got much better curls. But this tiem I used it on my hair with NO product. I am happy they work for me but I feel torn because I can't moisturize b4fore I use them or else they wont work. If I moisturize after I use them I will lose the curl. So I'm kinda torn. My hair is prone to dryness so not moisturizing just to keep a curl is probably something I shouldn't do. I wish i could wear my hair down without curls but it's too thin.

I usually moisturize and seal at night and use my steam rollers in the morning.

HIT - Qhemet Alma & Olive Heavy Cream for my wash and go. Went running last nite, co-washed in the shower w/ Suave Tropical Coconut. Rinsed hair w/ cool water, shook it out a little to get the curls going. Then used the Heavy Cream to moisturize and noticed that my curls looked very defined! Instead of applying anything else, I just sealed w/ a tiny bit of EVOO and walked out the door. Oh wait, I used my diffuser for like 5 mins to dry my scalp cuz uh, it ain't summer no more. :look: 3 hours later my hair is fully dried and I LOVE it! curls are still defined, soft to the touch, not at all crispy or dry. :yep: I don't do wash and go's alot in the fall/winter but it's great to know I got a backup hairstyle.

No it is a pre-leavein/moisturizer for me. I put it on my towel dried hair before putting on my leave-in (which is really a moisturizer for me)

Sometimes, when I use certain conditioners, the Fermodyl does not soak in, as well and drips more. It also does that when I need to clarify. If it drips a lot, I know something is wrong. I stay from all conditioners that coat my hair because my fermodyl does not soak in, as well. I judge conditioners on that actually - if my fermodyl drips to much it is not a keeper.

Thanks Honeydew....sorry didn't answer earlier. Haven't been at work and I just moved so no internet service.

Fermodyl 619 - Thanks Honeydew!!!
ORS Hair Mayo

On the fence: Giovanni Direct Leave In

Misses: VO5 Hot Oil Treatment
Tresseme Smooth & Silky DC Masque

I am beginning to change my mind about this ORS Hair Mayo. I notice that everytime I've used it as a prepoo, I shed more hair during and after washing my hair. I'm going to try leaving it out for a couple of washes and see if I can spot a difference.

OTOH, I am still loving my Fermodyl 619!!

For the ORS, try mixing it w/ a touch of olive oil. I add just a touch of olive oil when I do protein pre-poos. (BTW, I am not a person who loves to mix a whole bunch of products together, but I tried this combo "for fun." It worked!)

Miss: Clairol Conditioning Gloss (The one that comes in the small tube)
I'm 4 weeks post and it did not smooth my hair or give it any moisture.

Not Sure: Keracare Humecto in the Tub
I raved about this when I first used it but now I'm not liking it too much. My hair seems dry when I take my rollers out and my new growth is not soft.

Phtyo Jojoba Shampoo: Got 2 Sample packets from my last visit to a salon and I used on this past weekend. Not really sure what it did. I did clean the scalp without matting but I still had to use Keracare Detangling Shampoo to really get the tangles out.

I know with Keracare you have to clarify more often....at least for me.

Silk powder?!? Do tell...

I usually add Silk Peptide Powder to my deep conditioners but I got some of the silk powder to try. I got it here:

www.newdirectionsaromatics.com

NCI: Powder Silk
Description: Silk Powder is produced from high quality silk using sophisticated technology in order to retain it's chemical properties, and is made up of 100% fibroin, which contains 18 kinds of amino acids and trace elements essential to the human body. Silk Powder serves as an ideal protein enricher for high quality cosmetics. It is in the form of a yellow powder of 200 mesh diameter that can be applied to a wide range of cosmetics. Users can expect it to help maintain moisture levels in the skin, prevent dryness, the crystalline structure reflects UV radiation, has anti-bacterial properties, and in hair care products will improve luminance and elastic behavior. Please note silk powder does not dissolve in water or ethanol.
Application: Can be used in a wide variety of products such as shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment, body wash, body lotion, cleanser, toner, makeup foundation, lipstick, mascara, color cosmetics.

My hair came out very soft, silky, and strong. Shiny, too. I love the results. Quite different from the SPP.

I just got Silicon Mix yesterday and I really like it. It smells soooo good. It left my hair so silky and straight. I used it on dry pre washed hair for 10 minutes. I hope you like it if you decide to try it.

Sowry MV, just saw this.

Nope, I actually don't. Just a plastic cap.

I'm sure one day I will, whenever I get my stand up hooded dryer. I'm too lazy to take the table top one out of the closet...:ohwell:

*Love my Brilliant....glad I found it..better late than never....*

:yep: Oh, yeah. I definitely have to cosign on this one. I just started with this a couple of weeks ago. I followed MonaLisa's advice and used it on dry hair. Wow!! My hair was soft, strong, and moisturized. Excellent deep conditioner. I just went and got the big jar at Sally's yesterday :love2:.

I also got 4 3packs of Fermodyl. I got 3 of the 619 and 1 of the 233. I mixed 3 619's and 2 233's in a spray bottle. Love those things. They need to sell it by the gallon. Can you imagine how much that would cost?:ohwell:

WOW - I can't imagine!! I love love love that stuff too.... I actually like the 619 for relaxed hair because my hair is sorta fragile right now. Not a one shedded stran or popping ends!!! :lick: I got some 233...this is not my last purchase..I was just gearing up for them!!

YES it's a very cheap-y, $2 shampoo plus conditioner and not as good as my trusty CON, but definitely a decent shampoo w/moisture I can feel :)
