Dontspeakdefeat did this thread from 2003 to 2004. Lets try this again. Goal? One inch each month.

Do what you have to do. If you dont have the drive and dedication, well... :look:

Feel free to mention what youre doing to achieve this.

It starts June 8 2008 until June 8 2009 (im starting now:look:). Even tho this starts a little after the beginning of the month, lets check in every first of the month. Only pick up the ruler at check in time!

Are YOU ready? I surely am.

Lets go.
Are you going to post our check in dates?

count me in! i would love to get just another 4 inches so i can be boob length. but if i get another 12............"dayum"!!! i need to work on retaining what i have

i will moisturize 2x/day
bun/protective styles 5x/week. it's always up, but i don't always tuck the ends in
baggy my ends at least 3x/week

i don't know what else. i eat tons of veggies & probably drink a gallon of h2o each day. maybe i should add some vitamins to the mix.

i'll post pics by the weekend.

I'm jumping in on this one!!! Lately my hair seems to have a life of it's own......I would love to start tracking how much growth I am getting per month. Heres what Im doing.

Vitamins daily
Exercise
Drinking water daily ( I can go for days without dringking water....:wallbash:)
Ayurveda Powders and oils
Scalp massages
Keep hair in protective styles
PRAYER!!!!

So that is what I am going to do and we'll see how that goes. I will probably end up adapting some of you ladies regimines like the deep condition every week, I am waiting on some wig remover for my lace front so we'll see......

I'm in! I need a challenge like this! I don't have a real plan but for now its:

Daily Massages (using Dr. Miracles - I know its not popular LHCF brand but hey it works for me :yep:)
DC 2x a week (NTM)
100 oz Water daily
Vit. E Daily

This is what I'm doing now but I think I will add Chlorella to my plan. I realy drink a green drink with Chlorophyll every morning.

I'm in and I hope that this time I will achieve the goal of a challenge, well I don't think my hair can grow 12 inches in 12 months but I'll be more than satisfied with 6 or 7 inches.

I will:

- Eat more protein
- drink 2L of water daily
- Eat more fruits
- do more exercise ( at least twice a week )
- Moisturize my hair
- Take daily vitamins
- use some ayurvedic powders and oils
- use aloe vera sap
- do sew-in-weave all year long

I had a sew-in installed 3 weeks ago so that should help me with my hand in hair syndrome!:lachen:Count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!

My routine so far (I probably will have to change it once I get more length and wngs aren't doing it) is to

  • Daily co-Wash
  • Apply generous amount of conditioner
  • Apply my grow oil concoction
  • Apply Shealoe
  • Continuous scalp massages
  • I'm considering adding greens+ to my diet so I can get chlorella and spirulla in my diet. I am a vegetarian

I have to check my starting length again. I used to measure every weekend, but last weekend I noticed I had lost some, so I decided to leave my hair alone. (It was so depressing..I really hope I just grabbed a different section of hair)

I am definetely in on this. I was just starting back on my vits. I am taking b-complex, biotin, msm, epo, vit-c, and I will soon add horsetail silica and a multi.
I am also massaging my scalp with my sulfur oil blend and will use mn. I am debating on whether I want to try the mega-tek. If I do I will cut out the mn and sulfur.
I am wearing nonstop protective styles with a few passes until I reach my goal next year.:yep:

I'm in! My final hair goal is grazing bsl. I have been in braids since...hmm I don't remember when I put them in, I think the beginning of May. I plan on being braided up for at least the entire summer. So my routine...

-braids as a protective hairstyle
-spray braids with moisturizer twice daily
-oil scalp with sulfur mixture at night
-co wash every day with diluted conditioner
-continue with high raw diet
-up my intake of greens and other superfoods

I'm in...I'll just keep up my regular routine and increase my water and exercise (I haven't been to the gym in 3 months)

84 oz. of water
vits (I already do this)
exercise 3x a week (work my way up to 5)
co-wash 2x a week
wash weekly (salon visit)
protective styling, rollersets and bunning 80% of time
rollerset once a week
MN
moisturize 2x daily

That's all I can think of now.

Thanks for the tip. Youre not gonna join?

This kind of challenge is right up my alley, but I know it will take A LOT of dedication and I don't think I'd give it my all... my hair is now BSL, so an extra 12" would be like whoa!

I will join, however, my goal is 6" by December 2008. That's 1" per month...
