What a brilliant idea!!!! I'm not brand spanking new but I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to ayurveda. There is still much for me to learn.:yep:

I am in..I need to try this. I have ordered my oils and powders and will be doing a little more research over the next couple of days on the threads you have posted..

I have been researching Ayurvedic oils and powders for the past two months and wasn't quite sure if I would start doing this, but since there's a newbie challenge I'm up for it. This is my official sign me up please request.

Vatika oil is a good oil to start with. I am not a newbie and it is the only one I use beside EVCO. I am smell sensitive and never tried the others. It is a coconut infused oil with the other Ayurveda herbs. It works great and doesn't have a very strong smell.

Brand spanking newbie here and I have been interested in ayurveda since my lurking days so please sign me up for the challenge. I have a couple questions:
1. How do I do ayuveda with a weave?
2. Can I henna every two weeks?

You know what, I didn't think I'd ever do a challenge, but I think it's time to commit. I got the powders, got the oils- I'm in.

I agree with Kellum, I love Vatika Enriched Coconut oil and they just came out with Vatika Enriched Almond Oil.

Down for the count. It continues to improve the strength and texture clarity of my hair. Also reduces amount of hair shedding. Ends are in great condition. bonjour

I am leaning towards spritz and teas, I have been looking at different ppl recipes and thinking of some stuff.
Hopefully I can get one together in the next week.

I did a "tea" rinse with Aritha, Neem and Amla yesterday. I put 1 TB each of Aritha, Neem and Amla and 3 cups of heated water into a mason jar and let it steep, then store the tea in the fridge. On each wash day I pour a half cup of the mixture it over my pre-oiled hair. I plan on doing this every other day.
