Okay I know I haven't posted, but I just got my powders and oils earlier this week and Wednesday was the first day I had free to try them. Well anyways here goes what I've done and what I think I'm going to continue to do. Okay so first I prepoo-ed with coconut oil mixed with a little amla oil (not sure of the exact measurements). Then I brewed a tea consisting of 1 teaspoon Amla, Bhringraj, Shikakai and 1/8 teaspoon of hibiscus and rinsed my hair with it using an old water bottle after straining the powders from the tea. I covered my head with a shower cap and let sit for 45 minutes. I was supposed to only leave it in for 30 minutes, but got caught in a very interesting conversation.
When I rinsed my hair it felt like I had done a bentonite clay treatment, nice and velvety soft, moisturized, and clean. I then DC with my normal mix of Tresseme Flawless Curls, Cholesterol Mango Shea Butter, Tea Tree oil, Peppermint essential oil, and this time I added what was left over from the coconut and amla oil prepoo. I let this mixture sit over night and rinsed in the morning my hair stayed extremely moisturized all day Thursday. This morning was the first time that I actually felt the need to moisturize and seal my ends, but to be honest I think I was just doing it out of habit. I moisturized with a tea spritz made of bhringraj, amla, and hibiscus and to seal I used a mix of coconut oil with a few drops of amla and tea tree oil. I really can't stop touching my hair. Its so soft and silky and I haven't added any extra products outside of what I've already mentioned.
